Pentagram Investment Partners has upgraded David Asheim from a part-time consulting role to a full-time position. He's working on marketing, administration and finance for the Boston firm's macro vehicle, Pentagram Fund. Asheim, who formerly headed voice-recognition software company iHello, hopes to boost the vehicle's assets under management from under $10 million to at least $25 million by yearend. The fund gained 52.9% last year. Two-year-old Pentagram is run by Mark Turner, who has run fixed-income portfolios at several mutual-fund shops, most recently Schooner Asset Management.
